About the bulls

Teaser Bulls are excellent at helping you detect those cows and heifers that have quiet/silent heats throughout the mating period. They are always interested!

Our Teaser Bulls have reached full sexual maturity at around 15 months of age, the ideal age for Teaser Bulls. Like teenagers they have a high libido, they are less likely to go lame and injure themselves or your cows.

Some farmers choose to use this age group as breeding bulls for these reasons.

Our Teaser Bulls have all had one testicle vasectomised and the other removed, this is to aid with identification should they lose their Teaser Bull ID tag, and to ensure they are not sold on or leased out as breeding bulls.
Removing one testicle does not affect their libido.

How many do you need?

We recommend 1 Teaser Bull per 100 cows: a lot less are required compared to breeding bulls.

Lameness?

Younger bulls are less likely to go lame, mainly due to their stature - they carry proportionally less weight. As with all stock, they will go lame if they are required to be excessively active without rest therefore we recommend a rotation policy.

Health certificates

All our bulls are virgin bulls and have never been mixed or run with other cows or heifers.
They will have their own health certificate confirming negative BVD status, date of vasectomy and vaccination history.
